What the job involves
Exterior paint fails where the sun and weather hit hardest: south and west walls, trim, fascia boards, door edges and anywhere moisture can get behind a seam. We scrape and sand loose paint, clean the surface, repair cracks or damaged areas, prime bare spots and finish with a coat of exterior paint matched to what is there.
These are jobs where a full paint crew would be more than you need. If you only have a few problem areas, we can handle them in one visit.
- Fascia, trim and eave touch-ups
- Front and exterior doors
- Stucco crack and patch repair, painted to blend in
- Patio walls, columns and wood elements
- Color matching to existing paint
Why it matters in Arizona
Intense UV breaks paint down quickly. Color fades, the surface chalks and then the coating cracks and peels, especially on wood trim and south-facing walls. Stucco is porous and hairline cracks let in monsoon moisture, which then pushes paint off from behind.
HOA communities across the Valley often require specific approved colors and may send notices for faded or peeling exteriors. We can match the existing color and tell you what to confirm with your HOA first.
How a visit goes
We walk the outside with you and mark the areas that need work. We clean, scrape and sand, repair cracks and gaps, prime bare spots and paint, working around the heat by starting early in the day.
We match the existing color as closely as we can. Because older paint has faded, a touch-up can show next to the surrounding wall, so we explain when it makes sense to paint a whole wall or section for a clean look.
What affects the cost
The size of the area, how much prep is needed and the height we must work at set the price. Peeling wood, stucco repair, many coats on a color change and hard-to-reach areas add time.
We give you a free estimate and an upfront price after we see the work.
When it needs a different approach
A full exterior repaint of a large home, roof coatings and anything involving multi-story scaffolding or lifts are projects for a dedicated exterior painting company, and we will say so. We also recommend fixing any active leak or structural stucco damage before painting over it.
